About the Performance
Solo Olos (1976) is a piece by legendary choreographer Trisha Brown, comprising four dancers performing three phrases forwards and backwards through the unrehearsed verbal instructions of a fifth dancer. Originally performed by Trisha Brown in 1976 as a “solo movement palindrome,” at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Lepercq Space, the work premiered the following year with five dancers—also at Lepercq Space—as part of Line Up (1976). The piece was set on Kyle Abraham Dance Vanguard in 2019.
