About the Performance

Created in collaboration with students at the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance at USC, 5 Minute Dance (You Drivin’?) (2023) explores the possibilities of shared practice. Kyle Abraham initiated the movement as an in-progress duet with company dancers Keerati Jinakunwiphat and Kar’mel Antonyo Wade Small, before bringing the material to USC, where it transformed into a quartet through student-driven variations. The dynamic work is scored by pioneering electronic musician and long-time collaborator Jlin.
