Ben Pryor

BEN PRYOR (Director of Touring & Artistic Operation; he/him) is invested in artists working across performative practices who challenge the boundaries of artistic forms and normative contexts. Since 2009, Pryor has worked with artists to build and tour new evening-length performances, collaborating with more than 90 museums, festivals, and cultural institutions across 54 cities in 16 countries.

Pryor founded, curated, and produced American Realness, a festival of new dance and contemporary performance in New York City, from 2010-2019. During this time, he also produced and toured dance and performance works by Miguel Gutierrez, Trajal Harrell, Ishmeal Houston-Jones, and Deborah Hay, among others. His past institutional roles include Programming Director at Kelly Strayhorn Theater (2019-2025) and Director of Performance and Residency Programs at Gibney (2016-2018). Pryor joined Kyle Abraham Dance Vanguard in 2026.
