Hillary Kooistra

HILLARY KOOISTRA (Manager of Strategic Programs; she/her) is an NYC-based arts administrator with over a decade of experience in nonprofit management for dance organizations. Most recently, she served as General Manager of NYC-based tap dance company Dorrance Dance and has worked on touring, event, and board management projects with Cora Dance, Dance/USA, Reggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group, Nicole von Arx & Guests, and Lucinda Childs Dance. 

Kooistra was a 2019 Dance/USA Institute for Leadership Training Mentee and participated in the 2019-20 EmcArts Arts Leaders as Cultural Innovators program. She serves on the Board of Trustees for We Are Queens, a Gen-Z-led empowerment organization for young dancers. Trained in dance and theater, Kooistra received her BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. 

Kooistra rejoined Kyle Abraham Dance Vanguard in 2026, having previously served as Company Manager and General Manager from 2015 to 2022.
